Because Art Makes My Heart Happy

Art is not just created—it is shared, celebrated, and given a place to belong.

Beyond the classroom, we offer students exciting opportunities to exhibit their artwork, participate in community projects, and even sell their creations in our little shop. At Creativity Hood, every young artist is celebrated, encouraged, and given the space to thrive and excel.

Inside Our Classes

At Creativity Hood, we create more than just art classes—we craft a space of belonging, inspiration, and creative growth. Our Townsville studio (lovingly shared with our two friendly house cats, Teddy and Smockles) is a place where young artists can experiment, explore, and build their skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Led by our highly skilled and passionate teachers, our classes focus on artistic excellence, helping students develop strong techniques across a variety of mediums. But more importantly, we nurture confidence, self-expression, and a love for the creative process—because here, there are no mistakes, only new discoveries!

Kindness Policy

At Creativity Hood, we stand for the freedom to be yourself. Our Kindness Policy ensures that every student who enters our space knows they are loved, accepted, and valued—regardless of their beliefs, appearance, abilities, interests, or personality.

We foster a culture of respect and inclusion, where kindness is the foundation of our community. If a student displays unkind behavior, they will be encouraged to reflect and change their actions. If they choose not to, they will be asked to leave—because at Creativity Hood, there is no room for bullying.

School life can be tough, but here, we create a safe and uplifting space where young people can thrive, express themselves freely, and support one another.

What We Do

Creativityhood is a vibrant art school offering fun, explorative classes for all ages, aligned with the Australian curriculum. At our core, we believe children need a space to nurture both their artistic skills and emotional well-being. Through a strong sense of community, we provide a supportive environment where students can grow, explore, and use creativity to connect with others.

Founded by a dedicated visual arts teacher with over a decade of experience in education, Creativity Hood enhances the rich lessons of the Australian curriculum while filling in the gaps often overlooked. We are committed to fostering individual expression, curiosity, and confidence. Our goal is to help students find their creative flow, build self-assurance, and recognise that every piece of art they create is uniquely theirs—one of a kind in the world.
